Saratoga Springs, NY- A. Patricia (Waring) Kohn ("Patti"), age 94, passed away peacefully on September 16, 2021, at her home of 54 years in Saratoga Springs.

She was born on May 14, 1927 in Saratoga Springs, NY to the late Charles Raymond and Eleanor Aileen (Shaeffer) Waring. She was the wife of William P. Kohn for 39 years, when he passed away in 2000. She was a sister to four siblings: Douglass R. Waring, who passed in 2013; Winston S. Waring, who passed in 2018; and Nancie J. Tyler and Dr. C. Joseph Waring, who both passed in 2020.

In addition to her parents, husband, and siblings, she was predeceased by her niece Sally Waring. Patti is survived by her son Robert (Bob) Kohn of San Francisco, CA, her daughter Margaret (Peggy) Kohn, of Austin TX as well as numerous beloved nieces and nephews.

Patti was a graduate of Keuka College, where she earned her bachelor's degree in nursing, and SUNY Buffalo, where she earned a master's degree in nursing. She worked as a nurse at Saratoga Hospital, then for the US Public Health Service in Alaska, and then later retired from her career with the NY State Health Department.

She was a life-long member of the First Baptist Church of Saratoga Springs, where she was named a Life Deacon in 2011.

Graveside services will be held on Saturday, September 25, at Greenridge Cemetery, at 11am. A gathering of friends and family will be held at her home at 35 Kirby Road afterward to remember her and celebrate her life.
