Saratoga Springs, NY - Aaron (Frank) Isaacson, 90, died Sunday, January 22, 2017 at the Saratoga Center in Ballston Spa, NY.
Born January 4, 1927 in Manhattan, New York, he was the son of Jacob and Alice (Hayes) Isaacson. Aaron was a Navy veteran having served in World War II and the Korean Conflict. A large part of his life was spent in the trucking industry as a Traffic Manager for Saratoga/Espey Industries, Norton, and Penn Yan Express. He enjoyed wood working, camping, fishing and photography. During his retirement years he enjoyed working on computerized games and assisting his daughter Carolyn and son-in-law Jason with their accounting business in Connecticut.
In addition to his parents, Aaron was predeceased by his brother Frank Albrecht, his daughter Katherine Isaascson and granddaughter Mary Berrigan.
Survivors include his wife, of 69 years, Gertrude (Marks) Isaacson; his sister June (Robert) Marks of Centereach, Long Island; his children, Aaron (Cindy) Isaacson of Saratoga Springs, Carolyn (Jason) Camassar of Durham, CT, Lynda (Frank) Rafalik of Greenfield Center and Patsy (Joe) Berrigan of Saratoga Springs; his heart daughter Susan (Larry) Hahn of Saratoga Springs, 8 grandchildren, JP Berrigan, Buddy Berrigan, Jacob (Jenn) Berrigan, Kasandra (Jessie) Carda, Aaron Jacob (Christina) Isaacson, Alysa Isaacson, Joel Camassar (Roger Engle), Caz Rafalik and 6 great-grandchildren.
There will be no public services.
Burial with military honors will take place at the Gerald B.H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery in Schuylerville, at the convenience of the family.
Arrangements are under the direction of the William J. Burke & Sons/Bussing & Cunniff Funeral Homes of 628 North Broadway, Saratoga Springs (584-5373).
