Saratoga Springs, NY - Albert W. Meader passed away Saturday, Jan. 16, 2010 at Saratoga Hospital. He was 71. Born on March 5, 1938 in Saratoga Springs, he was the son of the late Robert T. and Laura (Burns) Meader. Albert graduated from Saratoga Springs High School and served four years in the US Navy, receiving an honorable discharge in 1963. He married the former Dawn L. Dennison on June 30, 1963. He worked and retired from the turbine factory at General Electric Co. in Schenectady NY. Albert was an avid hunter and enjoyed NASCAR but his greatest love and enjoyment in life was his family. He had a special bound with his grandson Jakey. In addition to his parents he is predeceased by his loving wife Dawn; his sister, Cora Gonyo; brother-in-law Joseph Gonyo and his two brothers, Gordon and Clarence Meader. Survivors include his children, Adam W. Meader (Cindy Brown) and Darlene L. Meader (Jeff) Dubay; his grandchildren, Andrew W. Meader, Kara J. Meader, Jacob D. Dubay, Danielle C. Dubay and Corinne M. Brown; his great-grandchildren, Nathan K. and Killian J. Vanderwarker; several sister-in-laws, brother-in-laws, nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends may call from 2 to 4pm Thursday, Jan. 21, 2010 at the William J. Burke & Sons/Bussing & Cunniff Funeral Homes, 628 North Broadway (584-5373).
