Alene Mericle-Cobb

Glenville, NY- Alene Mericle-Cobb, age 84, went to be with her Lord & Savior on February 21, 2026. She was born on Sept 14, 1941 to the late Mildred “Millie” and LeRoy Mericle.

Alene is survived by her devoted husband Thomas Cobb; her loving children James Teele, Michelle (Jeff) Boersma and Robyn Teele and her step children Matthew (Dianna) Cobb and Elizabeth Schaaf. She had many grandchildren and great grandchildren that filled her with joy. She is also survived by her sister Evalyon (Roger) Bartlett of Georgia and brother-in-law Charles Cobb of Tennessee; as well as many other friends and relatives.

In early years Alene grew up in Duanesburg N.Y. and then studied nursing at Green Mountain College and Ellis School of nursing. Some of her R.N. roles included Ellis Hospital and Hospice care. She lived and raised her family in the Clifton Park area. Alene and her husband Tom have spent 25 years in the Saratoga area. She had a beautiful smile that she readily shared with everyone. Alene loved her pets, dining out, music, shopping, travel and most of all time with friends and family.

A private family memorial will be held at a later time to honor Alene’s life.
