Saratoga Springs, NY - Alfred F. "Moonie" Moses, Jr., of Smith Bridge Road, passed away Friday (June 11, 2010) at Saratoga Hospital, following a long and courageous battle with cancer. He was 66. Born on March 12, 1944 in Saratoga Springs, NY, he was the son of Barbara (Woodcock) Moses and the late Alfred F. Moses, Sr. A 1963 graduate of Saratoga Springs High School, he was a member of the NY State Army National Guard for six years and had served with the 247th Med. Co. Ambulance. He also worked as an automobile mechanic in the family business of Upstate Auto Body for many years. In addition to his mother of Saratoga Springs, survivors include his son, Alfred F. Moses, III of Troy; one daughter, Kim Kovalski of Ohio; his granddaughters, Tracy and Katrina; one sister, Gail (Tom) Remington of Saratoga Springs; one brother, Ronald (Brenda) Moses of Schuylerville and several nieces and nephews. There are no public calling hours. Relatives and friends are invited to attend graveside services to be conducted at 2pm Monday (June 14, 2010) at the family plot in Greenridge Cemetery, Lincoln Avenue. Arrangements are under the direction of the William J. Burke & Sons/Bussing & Cunniff Funeral Homes of 628 North Broadway (584-5373).
