Saratoga Springs, NY - Rev. Alfred Aloysius Sieradski, C.Ss.R., of Lake Ave., passed away Friday, Nov. 14, 2008 at St. John Neumann Residence. He was 86. Born on Oct. 12, 1922 in Rochester, NY he was a son of the late Carl and Veronica (Janas) Sieradski. He professed his vows as a Redemptorist on Aug. 2, 1943 in Ilchester, MD and was ordained a Priest on Feb. 6, 1949 at Mt. St. Alphonsus Seminary in Esopus, NY. Father served from 1949 until 1952 at the Angelicum, Rome where he received his S.T.D. Degree. He was a professor at Mt. St. Alphonsus Seminary, Esopus, NY and spent the later part of his life working in the Southeastern United States in the Redemptorist Vice-Province of Richmond. He came to St. John Neumann Residence in 2004. Survivors include a nephew, niece, cousin, sister-in-law and lifelong friends. Reception of the Body will be at 4pm Sunday (Nov.16, 2008) at the Chapel of St. John Neumann Residence, 233 Lake Ave. followed by a Christian Wake Service at 7pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11am Monday in the Chapel and burial will follow at St. Peter's Cemetery, West Ave. Memorials may be made to the Redemptorist Fathers, 233 Lake Ave., Saratoga Springs, NY 12866.
