Saratoga Springs, NY - Allan T. Weatherwax, Sr., 70, passed away peacefully at his home Tuesday, December 1, 2009. Allan was born on February 27, 1939 in Brooklyn, New York to the late Albert and Alice Weatherwax. He resided most of his life in East Northport, Long Island, before relocating to Saratoga Springs in 2004. Allan earned a BA degree at St. Francis College in Brooklyn and an MA in Latin at Hunter College. He also earned an MBA at Pace University and had a successful career in business on Wall Street. He was also the founder and president of ATW Inc., a leading consulting firm specializing in disaster recovery planning for financial institutions. After retiring to Saratoga Springs, he followed his true passion and taught Latin at Cambridge Central School in NY. A devoted husband and father, Allan is survived by his wife of 42 years, Mary Anne Weatherwax; his two children, Pamela (Steven) Stiansen and Allan (Cathy) Weatherwax, Jr., all of Saratoga Springs and his four loving grandchildren, Nick and Jenna Stiansen, and Ben and Evan Weatherwax. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11am Saturday, Dec. 5, 2009 at The Church of St Peter, 241 Broadway by Rev. Michael G. Cambi, Associate Pastor.
