Gansevoort, NY - Ally Downing LaFond, of Saunders Drive, passed away Tuesday (Dec. 8, 2009) at Saratoga Hospital. She was 42. Born on June 15, 1967 in Amsterdam, NY, she was a licensed practical nurse graduate of the BOCES program and had been employed for the past two years with Saratoga Family Physicians in Wilton. She volunteered her time to Operation Smiles traveling to Nicaragua and Mexico. Her interests included NASCAR racing, tractor pulls and four wheeling. She touched so many lives with her kind gestures and warm heart, and will be missed by all who knew her. She was predeceased by her father, James H. Downing. Survivors include her husband, Adam LaFond; her mother, Patricia A. (Westfall) Downing of Saratoga Springs; two daughters, Alexis Clough of Gansevoort and Bethany Clough of Louisiana; her siblings, Jacob and Justin Downing, both of Saratoga Springs, Joanne (Tim) Orologio of Porter Corners and Jill (William) Roy of Tennessee; several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. A funeral service will follow at 7pm at the Burke Funeral Home.
