Niskayuna, NY- Amalia Marie (Barone) Cannizzo, "Amy", passed away peacefully at home on Sunday, April 26, 2026 surrounded by her loving family. She was 84. Born January 29, 1942 in Schenectady, she was the only child of the late D. James and Annie Marie Barone.
Relatives and friends may call from 4 to 7pm on Sunday, May 3, 2026 at the William J. Burke & Sons/Bussing & Cunniff Funeral Homes, 628 North Broadway, Saratoga Springs, NY 12866 (518-584-5373).
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11am on Monday, May 4, 2026 at St. Paul the Apostle Church, 2777 Albany Street, Schenectady, NY 12304. Burial will follow in the family plot in St. Cyril & Method Cemetery, Rotterdam, NY.
Memorial donations may be made in Amy's name to the Community Hospice of Schenectady, 445 New Karner Rd. Albany, NY 12205 (.communityhospice.org).
