Saratoga Springs, NY- Andrew Joseph DeGregorio Jr., a lifelong resident of Saratoga Springs, New York, passed away peacefully on June 9, 2026, at the age of 79.
Born on February 26, 1947, in Saratoga Springs, Andrew was the son of the late Andrew Joseph DeGregorio Sr. and Florence (Cammuso) DeGregorio. He graduated from Saratoga Springs High School in 1965 and went on to proudly serve his country in the United States Navy. Following his military service, Andrew dedicated 21 years to protecting and serving his community as a firefighter with the Saratoga Springs Fire Department.
Andrew was a proud member of ITAM Post #35, American Legion Adirondack Post 70, Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie #2586, and IAFF Local #343. He valued the friendships, camaraderie, and sense of service these organizations provided throughout his life.
Above all else, Andrew cherished his family. He is survived by his beloved wife, Theresa Lynn (LaGreca) DeGregorio; his devoted daughter, Jillian (Casler) DeGregorio; his siblings, Leta (John) Betor, Frank DeGregorio, and Patrick (Laurie) DeGregorio; and his niece and nephews, Ronnie Lee (Brad) Betor, Colin Betor, and Michael (Paige) Dombeck.
In addition to his parents, Andrew was predeceased by his adored niece, Madison DeGregorio, and his beloved dog, Shirley.
One of Andrew's most cherished traditions was gathering around his mother's kitchen table. There, surrounded by family, conversation flowed easily, ronies were shared, and memories were made. Those moments around Flo's table became the foundation of countless family stories and the lasting bonds that Andrew treasured throughout his life.
Andrew's greatest legacy is the love he shared with his family and friends, especially the bond he shared with his daughter, Jillian. Though he will be deeply missed, his stories, laughter, and unwavering loyalty and stubbornness will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
Family and friends are invited to attend calling hours at the William J. Burke & Sons/Bussing & Cunniff Funeral Homes (628 North Broadway, Saratoga Springs, NY) on Monday, June 15 from 9:00am to 11:00am, with a funeral home service at 11.
