Obituary

On June 12, 2023, Angelo D. Gaudio of Bremerton, Washington died unexpectedly at his home with his good friend David Pelkowski by his side.

Born June 9, 1973 in Saratoga Springs, NY, he was the son of Jeanne and the late Angelo Gaudio. He was the first grandson to the late Anne V. Adair of Albany NY and Marzia Gaudio of Amorosi, Italy. Very early on it was evident that his free, creative, intelligent and strong-willed spirit would garner attention. At the young age of 1 1/2, Dito inched his playpen to the door, climbed out and walked through three Geyser Crest neighborhood yards. Most likely, looking for Winchester trail. Not too long after, he became a big brother to "Guido's little sister", Gina. She forever holds in her heart his protectiveness, his willingness to provide support, even when learning to tie her shoes for the first time and introducing her to Metallica. He basked in his given "Precious" title.

Dito's school years proved to be another unique part of his history.  He often aced exams without studying, leaving those with much better attendance stunned. He was very artistic but humble about this talent. Throughout the years, Dito developed many loyal and life-long friendships, many originating from his Geyser Crest roots.

After high school he went on to live in the Southeast. One of his mother's favorite traveling experiences is when she visited Dito while he was working as a Chef in Charleston, SC.

Dito eventually made his way out to Bremerton, WA following his west coast family; Melissa Rayburn, Olivia Prosser, Carson Rayburn and Annabel Rayburn. Later, doting on Olivia's IvyRose and Sophia Prosser. There, he worked in restaurants and shipyards, eventually starting his own business as a General Contractor. Dito loved animals and often brought his best friend of 18 years, Roscoe, on his job sites. Dito also enjoyed learning new things and began studying glass blowing. He loved skiing, the Yankees and NY Giants, memorabilia, and going camping. Dito also enjoyed attending live music events with his friends and carried on this tradition in Washington with Annabel.

Dito was predeceased by his father Angelo. He is survived by his mother Jeanne Gaudio and sister Gina. Dito made so many friends across the country and beyond. He will be especially remembered by David Carlow, Steven Todd, Brian Brumley, Anthony Gargano and Brian Siciliano.

Relatives and friends may call from 3-6pm, July 2, 2023 at the William J. Burke & Sons/Bussing & Cunniff Funeral Homes, 628 North Broadway, Saratoga Springs, NY 12866 (518-584-8373).

Burial will be 11am, July 3, 2023 at St. Agnes Cemetery, Menands NY.
