Saratoga Springs, NY- Ann Marie O'Brien 85, of Gansevoort NY, entered into God's Kingdom on March 18, 2023 at the Saratoga Hospital.
She was born on June 20, 1937 to the late, Mary and Lawrence Strouse.
Upon Graduation from Blessed Sacrement High School, Ann took college courses at SUNY Farmindale. She work various Administrative jobs but spent the majority of her 35 year career at Reuben H. Donnelly, now Dunn and Bradstreet.
Ann met the love of her life the late, Christopher O'Brien whom she met at Rockaway Beach Park, the two spent 27 loving years together before Christopher's passing in 1995.
Ann loved spending time with her family and friends and kept in touch with everyone to the very end. To say she loved her social life was an understatement. She served as a Red Hats, Queen for more than 10 years.
Ann, the most loving and devoted wife and mother is survived by her son, Richard Strouse; her sister, Eleanor (John) Sullivan; as well as her nieces, Lorraine Pettica (John) and Shannon Stolte; nephews, Mark (Lisa) Sullivan, Sean (Alexis) Sullivan, Neal (Katherine) Sullivan ; as well as her grand nieces and nephews, Courtney Laczko, William, Kelly, John, Elizabeth and Patrick Sullivan and Jack and Erin Stolte.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11am on Saturday, March 25, at St. Clement's Church, 231 Lake Ave. Saratoga Springs. Burial will be held in the family plot at St. Charles Cemetery, Farmingdale, NY. Arrangements are under the direction of the William J. Burke & Sons/ Bussing & Cunniff Funeral Home, 628 N. Broadway, Saratoga Springs, NY.
In lieu of flowers the family request that donations be made to the Mohawk Valley Animal Shelter: 3 Oakland Ave. Menands, NY 12204 or to Community Hospice of Saratoga: 179 Lawrence St. Saratoga Springs NY.
