Gansevoort, NY Anna (Baranski) OKeefe of Gansevoort, died Monday (Aug. 4, 2008) at home. Anna was born in 1915 in downtown Manhattan to Josephine (Wizor) and Joseph Baranski and was the sister of Michael (Mickey) and Martin (Marty) Baranski, both deceased. She resided in Staten Island, NY for over fifty years and maintained her home in Gansevoort Chancestead Farm for the past forty years and permanently moved there five years ago. Anna worked at Staten Island Hospital in the Communications Department for over twenty years. She was a parishioner of Holy Family Church in Staten Island. She enjoyed baseball games, horse racing and Atlantic City. She was the wife of Michael F. OKeefe, Sr., who died in 1987 and worked for the Newspaper & Mail Deliveries Union, NYC. Together, they raised seven children, Roseanne OKeefe (deceased), Mike, Jr., who resided with her in Gansevoort, NY, Arlene Tysver of Lakeland, Fla. (deceased), Billy of Johnstown, NY (deceased), Tommy of Staten Island, NY, Kathy Conroy of Clifton Park, NY and Patty Disbrow of Gansevoort, NY. She was the loving Grandmother of 25 grandchildren and Great Grandmother of 27 great grandchildren. Relatives and friends may call from 1 to 2:30pm Thursday (Aug. 7, 2008) at the William J. Burke & Sons/Bussing & Cunniff Funeral Homes, 628 North Broadway, Saratoga Springs (584-5373), followed by a funeral service at 2:30pm. The Rev. Michael G. Cambi, associate pastor of the Church of St. Peter will officiate. Burial will follow in the family plot at St. Peters Cemetery, West Avenue.
