Saratoga Springs, NY - Anna Mary (Kashuba) Powers of Jefferson Street, passed away Monday (August 9, 2010) at Saratoga Hospital. She was 90. Born on April 17, 1920 in Corinth, NY, she was the daughter of the late Albert and Anna (Kavicky) Kashuba. A graduate of Saratoga Springs High School, she worked in numerous capacities with the Saratoga Springs city school district, including clerk, over the years. Anna was a life member and past president of Gurtler Bros. Post 420 VFW, the Home Bureau and was a communicant of St. Clement's Roman Catholic Church. She enjoyed her home and spending time with her grandson, camping, vacationing in Myrtle Beach, Branson, MO., Nashville, Disney World and Hawaii. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Raymond E. Powers, who died Jan. 1, 2001 and two brothers, Albert and Robert Kashuba. Survivors include her daughter, Ann Marie Kenyon of Saratoga Springs; her grandson, David James Kenyon and his wife Barbara of Middle Grove; two nephews, William Williamson of Schuylerville and Mark Farrington of Syracuse; three nieces, Jayne Theileman of Galway, Mary Ann Dogias of Ballston Spa and Kristen Mulcahy of Skaneateles, NY; her cousins, Ann Beach of Saratoga Springs and Robert Kashuba of Sacramento, CA., one aunt, Amelia Morris of Ballston Spa and several grand nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends may call from 6 to 8pm Thursday (Aug. 12, 2010) at the William J. Burke & Sons/Bussing & Cunniff Funeral Homes, 628 North Broadway 584-5373. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 am Friday in St. Clements Church, 231 Lake Avenue. Burial will follow at the family plot in St. Mary's Cemetery, Corinth.
