Saratoga Springs, NY - Anne M. Graul , of Jumel Place, passed away Sunday, Nov. 1, 2009 at her home surrounded by her loving family. She was 88. Born on Jan. 4, 1921 in New York City, NY, she was the daughter of the late William and Helen O'Mara Murphy. Anne was a graduate of Saratoga Springs High School, class of 1938. She worked at the Army Depot in Schenectady during World War II and was also a volunteer for the Saratoga Hospital Guild for many years. Anne was a communicant of St. Clement's Roman Catholic Church. She enjoyed golf and was an active member of the Saratoga Lady's Golf League. An avid horse racing fan, she especially enjoyed watching races from the backstretch at Saratoga Race Course. She delighted visiting with all of her extended family of cousins, nieces, nephews and grandchildren. Anne's greatest pleasure was taking family vacations to Eastham, Cape Cod. In addition to her parents, Anne is predeceased by her loving husband of 63 years, William L. Graul, Jr. who passed away Jan. 31, 2008; her sister, Helene (Judy) Murphy and two brothers, William and Michael Murphy. Survivors include her four children and their spouses, Anne (Jack) Dejnozka and William L. (Donlynn) Graul III, all of Saratoga Springs, Michael A. (Diana) Graul of Granby, CO and Jane (John) Valetta of New York City; eight grandchildren; two great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00am Friday, Nov. 6, 2009 in St. Clements Church, 231 Lake Avenue.
