Saratoga Springs, NY - Anthony Vincent Fischetti, of Saint Petersburg, FL, also known as Tony Fisher, lost his short battle to lung cancer on Tuesday, July 27, 2021. He was 67.

Born on May 19, 1954 to the late Anthony V Fisher Sr. and Catherine Rock Morel, he grew up in Saratoga Springs and attended the local city schools.

Tony worked with his stepfather, the late JP Morel, training and caring for horses at the Saratoga Harness track. Following graduation from Saratoga Springs High school, he began working for the Saratoga Springs city Public Works department, where he worked for 37 years under Commission Thomas G. McTygue. He refereed many basketball games in several area leagues for 25 years and co-owned harness horses with Tom McTygue and Brian Cross.

Tony was an avid horse and poker player. He was a 29 year member of Saratoga-Wilton B.P.O. Elks Lodge # 161 and also the Principessa Elena Mens Society. Retiring in 2011, he became a snowbird to St. Petersburg Florida where he enjoyed the community of Americana Cove.

He is survived by his wife Carol; brother Leo Michael Fisher; his niece Sarah Mielewski; his stepchildren, Teresa, John and Thomas McEchron; his adopted children, Robert and Christopher Fisher; grandchildren Robbie and Alex Fisher and many cousins.

Tony will be extremely missed in Saratoga Springs with his robust personality and heart of gold. He was loved by many.

All are invited to attend a memorial Mass of Christian Burial at 10am Saturday (Sept. 25, 2021) in the historic Church of St. Peter, 241 Broadway, celebrated by the Rev. Thomas H. Chevalier, pastor.
