Saratoga Springs - Adam Mead, born Armistead Davis Mead IV passed away peacefully on April 16th, 2025 after a lengthy battle with melanoma.

He was born on March 24, 1978 in Saratoga Springs, NY to A. Davis Mead III and Roxanne Mead, he remained a lifelong resident. Adam had a huge heart and a young soul. His circle was tight and constant, as he was a good friend to many.

Adam was an avid sports fan with a vast knowledge about professional sports, teams, and players, including his favorite New York Yankees and NY Giants. He was also a devoted movie buff. Above all, he cherished time with his family—especially his nieces and nephew, who brought him immeasurable joy and who he always tried to make smile and laugh.

Adam is survived by his father, Davis Mead of Rotunda, FL; mother, Roxanne Mead of Saratoga Springs; brother, Jason Thorud; sister, Wendy (Mike) Krotow; beloved nieces and nephew: Kara (Alcides Jr.) Ayala, Laurin Thorud, Anna Krotow, Ellie Grace, and Jack Krotow; as well as his uncles, aunts, and cousins, including honorary ones.

A celebration of life will be announced at a later date. The family extends heartfelt gratitude to Adam's oncologist, Dr. Delmonte, and his staff, and the compassionate doctors, nurses, and staff at Saratoga Hospital for their dedicated care and support during Adam's final days.
