Greenfield Center, NY – Augustine Perrino, 96, passed away on the morning of Sunday, April 25, 2021 surrounded by his family. He is the son of the late Amelio A. and Mary Andenno Perrino.

Gus was a dedicated, family man who was proud of his work ethic and often bragged about the many jobs he held.  He loved talking about his career as a meat cutter and was a master of his trade.  He worked for 21 years at Pleasant Valley Meat packing plant as the supervisor of the cutting room, where he taught new hires to cut meat as well as others throughout New York State. Many evenings and weekends you would find him cutting up deer for his hunter friends.  Gus was famous for selling his homemade Italian Sausage, which is still raved about today.  After retirement, he happily spent a few more years working at Price Chopper on Route 50 in Saratoga Springs.

In addition to his parents, Augustine is predeceased by his wife of 62 years, Bernice Perrino, brothers; Anthony, Frank, and Robert Perrino.

Survivors include his children; Tony (Karen) Perrino, Dianne (Ray) Henderson, and Darlene Neville, brother Daniel (Angelita) Perrino of Moreno Valley, CA and sister Joan Himmelwright of Davenport, FL, ten grandchildren; Angelina Perrino, Tiffany (Stefan) Shaffer, Abby (Brent) Zampier, Nicholas (Dawn) Neville, Brody (Emma) Neville, Daniel (Shannon) Henderson, Todd (Tim) Henderson, Alex (Kayla) Korson, Aaron (Ying) Korson, and Andrew (Caitlyn) Korson. 16 great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends may call from 11am to 1pm Thursday (April. 29, 2021) at the William J. Burke & Sons/Bussing & Cunniff Funeral Homes, 628 North Broadway (584-5373). A funeral service will be conducted at 1pm at the funeral home and burial will follow in Greenfield Cemetery.
