IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Barbara Sabina
Klion
April 3, 1933 – September 29, 2024
Barbara Sabina Klion (née Kupsick), 91, of Ballston Lake, NY, peacefully passed away on September 29th, 2024.
Barbara was born on April 3rd, 1933 in New York City to parents Jack and Bronia Kuspick. She received her post secondary education at Bradford College in Massachusetts and the Sorbonne Université in Paris, France, specializing in art history. She resided in Hartsdale, NY for over fifty years, where she raised her family and volunteered with multiple organizations.
Barbara was an executive secretary professionally, but was particularly passionate about civic engagement. She advocated with the White Plains chapter of the League of Women's Voters and acted as secretary to the Rutgers University Living History Society for the seven years her husband Bart was President.
Barbara was a patron of the arts for her entire life. She had a great love for classical music, theater, reading, and was exceptionally skilled at needlepoint. She was a world traveler, visiting over a dozen countries around the world and instilling a sense of wanderlust in all her friends and family. Barbara was a deep believer in constantly expanding one's cultural horizons, and her progressive pursuit of knowledge and new experiences continues to be an inspiration.
Barbara is lovingly remembered by her husband of 69 years, Bart, sister Wendy, two children Bruce and Lisa, daughter-in-law Linda, grandchildren and their spouses Bennett, Henry, Jason, Samara, Rose, Nicole, and Annika, and great-grandsons Cillian and Oliver. She was preceded in death by elder sister, Rita. May her memory be the sweetest blessing to all that knew her.
Funeral services are private at the convenience of the family.
