Dr. Barbara Morris, 72, formerly of Malta died Friday morning, December 2, 2022 at Saratoga Hospital. She was born in Cohoes to the late John and Virginia Morris.

After attending St. Agnes, she went to Rosary Hill College in Amherst, NY then SUNY Upstate Medical School. After earning her medical degree, she completed her fellowship in Pediatric critical care at Children's Hospital of Pittsburg before becoming the Director of Pediatrics ICU at Hartford Hospital in Hartford, Connecticut then Children's Mercy Hospital in Kansas City, MO. She returned to the Capital District and joined Community Care Physicians as a pediatric doctor in Saratoga in 1993. From 2006 until her retirement, she served as the CMO of CCP. She was also on the boards of CCP, Saratoga Hospital, and the Friends of the Saratoga Library.

She was predeceased by her parents, John and Virginia Morris, her uncles, Jerome and Joseph Coleman, and her brother John Morris. She is survived by her aunt Florence Holohan, her sister, Virginia Morris and her two daughters, Sarah and Jessica Morris.

She loved cooking for her friends and family, reading, and taking pictures of her many travels.

Burial will be private.
