Barbara Danielle Powers of Middle Grove, NY passed away December 17, 2020.  Barbara was born in Queens, NY on May 27, 1964, the daughter of John and Ann (McVay) Powers.

She was a 1982 graduate of Saratoga Central Catholic High School.  In her four years at SPA Catholic, Barbara could be found in the bleachers where she enjoyed attending and watching all of the Saints basketball games. She was a true "SAINT" in every sense of the word, and remained and will always be remembered as a kind and gentle soul.

More than 25 years ago Barbara was diagnosed with kidney failure and was placed on dialysis. Barbara, despite her illness had a zest for life that we should all strive for. Her life wasn't what any of us would want but that never stopped her. She was on top of the news, loved to reminisce about the past, and loved baseball and horseracing.

Barbara was a big Yankee fan, she could tell you the stats of any Yankee, current or past. She was close friends for a time with Craig Nettles, third baseman for the New Yankees and through phone calls and letter writing, she could tell you all about his life and family. She loved Saratoga thoroughbred racing and would be there every year with her parents. The jockey's all knew her. Barbara enjoyed living despite the circumstances.

She is survived by both of her parents.

Funeral services for Barbara will be held in spring 2021.
