IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Beatrice H.
Brower
March 25, 1935 – January 19, 2024
Saratoga Springs, NY - Beatrice H. Brower, 88, of Loughberry Mobile Home Park, passed away Friday, January 19, 2024 at Saratoga Hospital.
Born in Corinth, NY on March 25, 1935, Bea was the daughter of Sidney and Mildred LaPier. After high school in Corinth, she soon fell in love with and married Joseph Brower of Ballston Spa. Together they lived in a number of locations as Joe served in the US Air Force for the next 20 years. Bea was not only a loving, compassionate mom to their three children, but also became a very special "Aunt Bea" to her niece and several other close relatives who she raised in their home for periods of time. Known for her amazing baking, she was ever present at Joe's side in the kitchen as incredible meals were created for all occasions. Bea loved family gatherings, card games, bowling, and in her later years, lunch and dinner dates with friends and family. Her passion was watching horror films and reading fiction, often devouring a book every few days and reading until sunrise. She had a huge heart and loved children and family times. At the Saratoga YMCA Day Care, hers was a favorite lap for cuddles and comfort. Her most beloved "travel" time was spent at her sister's camp in the woods of Corinth, where they spent most weekends during warmer weather.
Bea is survived by 5 of her 9 siblings, in addition to her children: Kevin Brower and wife Kathy (Saratoga), Kelly Brower and wife Susan (Ithaca, NY), Kathleen Mecier and husband Bruce (Saratoga); 5 grandchildren: Stephen Currier Jr., Tina Currier, Christopher Brower, Luke Brower, Spencer Brower; 10 great-grandchildren: Cierra Currier, Willow Currier, Silas Currier, Joshua Grimley Jr., Stephen Currier III, Chloe Currier, Brady Currier, Blake Currier, Quinn Brower, Myles Brower; and 4 great-great-grandchildren: Auriella Mackrodt, Braelynn Currier, Dolleiah Currier, and Everett Mackrodt. She was pre-deceased by her husband Joe in 2008 after 54 years of marriage, and by her grandson Eric Currier in 2020.
