Saratoga Springs, NY Beatrice B. Clute passed away Sunday, Dec. 4, 2011 at her home. She was 86. Born on January 16, 1925 in Newfoundland, she was the daughter of the late Noah and Sarah Jane Oldford. Bea loved knitting, flowers, her Christmas village and especially her cat Noah. Her family, and all who loved her, knew her best as Nana. In addition to her parents, Bea was predeceased by her husband, Edward T. Clute; her daughter Sandra Clute-Wood and her son-in-law David B. Wood. Survivors include her granddaughter Jennifer Wood Sturgeon and her husband Cody D. and great-grandchildren Taylor Wood, Reegan and Garret Sturgeon all of Saratoga Springs; one uncle, Everett Cole of CA; brother-in-law, Gerald Clute of Stoney Creek and sister-in-law, Bernice Reynolds of Saratoga Springs. Relatives and friends may call from 10 to 12noon Wednesday, Dec. 7, 2011 at the William J. Burke & Sons/Bussing & Cunniff Funeral Homes, 628 North Broadway, Saratoga Springs (584-5373). Funeral services will be celebrated at 12noon at the funeral home.
