Saratoga Springs, NY -Beatrice J. Longe, of 2 Denton Road, passed away peacefully Friday morning (Jan. 3, 2014), with her family by her side. She was 91. Born on June 9, 1922 in Lawrence Massachusetts, she was the daughter of the late Percival and Ida Crawford. She was raised and educated in Bermuda, a graduate of Mount St. Agnes High School and Business School in Bermuda. A member of St. Andrew's Episcopal Church in Albany, St. Paul's Episcopal Church of Brant Lake and the Bethesda Episcopal Church in Saratoga Springs, she was a former Treasurer of the Diocesan Altar Guild of the Episcopal Diocese of Albany and a past volunteer at Childs Nursing Home in Albany. Active in various garden clubs in both Albany and Saratoga Springs, Mrs. Longe enjoyed volunteering and helping others. Bea was a true lady in every sense of the word. She always had the utmost respect for everyone she encountered and made new friends continuously throughout her years. She loved being with her family and friends, be it over lunch with her golf group, breakfast after church or with the "coffee clutch" on Friday mornings at physical therapy. Bea loved spending time at Brant Lake with her family and knew she was a lucky lady to be able to do these things well into her nineties. In addition to her parents she is predeceased by her husband, Frederick J. Longe and a granddaughter, Michal L. Matthews. Survivors include her children; Sandra L. Miles, Thomas F. Longe, Janet M. Longe and Frederick J.P. Longe; four grandchildren, Christopher and David Miles, Jamie Davies and Patrick Colaes; two great-grandsons and a brother, Dr. Thomas Crawford of Phoenix, AZ. There are no public calling hours. Funeral services will be conducted at 11am Tuesday (Jan. 7, 2014) in Bethesda Episcopal Church, 41 Washington St., by The Very Rev'd Marshall J. Vang. Burial will follow at 1pm at the Gerald B.H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery, Duell Rd., Schuylerville. Arrangements are under the direction of the William J.
