Milton, NY - Beatrice "Bea" (DuPlantie) Rovito Provo of Northline Road passed peacefully into eternal rest at home surrounded by her loving family April 17, 2013. She was 85. Born in Tupper Lake, NY she was the daughter of the late Rene DuPlantie and the late Lena (Derosia) DuPlantie Chaisson and wife of the late Tony Provo who died in 1981. Bea was educated at Holy Cross Academy in Tupper Lake, NY. She worked hard all of her life, first helping support her family after leaving school. She supported her two children and then moved to Saratoga Springs to attain a better life for her and her family. Bea helped her husband develop and run various businesses in Saratoga Springs and working at various service jobs. She raised her two children, step-daughter and then two of her grandchildren. She was active in the Historical Society and Garden Club in Saratoga Springs and enjoyed attending the Spa Little Theater for many years. Bea was a spitfire, a small, mighty dynamo and will be sorely missed by all who loved her. In addition to her parents and husband, Beatrice was predeceased by her brothers, Raymond Chaisson, Edmond DuPlantie and her grandson Raymond Anthony Robinson. Bea is survived by her daughter, Barbara Rovito (Wayne) Robinson and son Donald (Dinah) Rovito, Sr.; step-daughter Toni Anne Provo (Lou) Sabella; her grandchildren, Scott (Chris) Robinson, Donna (Russell) Houseworth, Angel Lackner, Donald (Anna) Rovito, Jr., Anthony (Georgianna) Rovito, Sr.; her great-grandchildren, Kaylee Houseworth, Austin and Blake Lackner, Donna Ashley and Alexander Rovito, Anthony Rovito, Jr.; sisters, Rena (DuPlantie) Drew, Janet (Chaisson) Hepworth and many nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends may call from 5pm to 8pm Sunday, April 21, 2013 at the William J. Burke & Sons/Bussing & Cunniff Funeral Homes, 628 N. Broadway, Saratoga Springs (584-5373). A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11:30am Monday, April 22, 2013 at St. Clement's Church, 231 Lake Avenue by the Rev. Marty Fisher. Burial will follow in the family plot at Greenridge Cemetery, Lincoln Ave. The family wants to thank Dr. Ying, his staff, and the hospice nurses for the gentle, loving, compassionate care they gave her during her illness.
