Saratoga Springs, NY - Bernice E. Kelleher passed away Tuesday (Nov. 4, 2008) at the Wesley Health Care Center. She was 88. Born on July 26, 1920 in Lynn, MA, she was the daughter of the late Louis and Marie Elise (Paris) Smith. She was a proud graduate of Lynn Classical High School in Lynn, MA and always valued knowledge and education. She had a very artistic and creative talent which was expressed through oil painting, cake decorating, needlepoint, sewing, knitting and cooking and she was a prolific reader. Bernice was a loving wife, mother and beloved grandmother. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by five brothers and sisters, and her husband, the late Daniel Philip Kelleher, who died April 19, 1993. Survivors include her three children, Karen Barkie of Cary, NC and Janis Kelleher-Dawsey of Saratoga Springs and Daniel Kelleher of Colton, NY; four grandchildren, Scott and Eric Barkie of Morrisville, NC, Kristopher Dawsey of Washington,DC and Kathryn Dawsey of Saratoga Springs; three brothers, Richard, Norman and Lawrence Smith and one sister, Laurel Kerwin, all of MA and numerous nieces and nephews. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10am Saturday in the Church of St. Peter, 241 Broadway, by the Rev. Dominic S. Ingemie, pastor. Burial will follow in the family plot at St. Peter's Cemetery, West Ave. There will be no public calling hours. Arrangements are under the direction of the William J.
