Saratoga Springs, NY – Bertha E. Frolish, 95, passed away March 26, 2021 at home.

Born at home in Milton on August 10, 1925, Bertha was the daughter of the late John and Agnes (Voyacek) Frolish.  She was the youngest of nine children having been predeceased by brothers Ludwig Frolish, John Frolish, and Frank Frolish, and sisters Agnes Frolish, Elizabeth Frolish, Mary Handy, Mildred Kusick, and Frances Beach.

Bertha attended a one room school house on Route 29 in North Milton, and graduated from Saratoga Springs schools. After mission work in the mid-west, she returned to Saratoga Springs and worked on the circuit boards at ESPEY manufacturing for many years. She then continued her career as a secretary at the Empire State College in Saratoga Springs.

Her Roman Catholic faith was central to her life. She was an active member of the Catholic Daughters of the Americas Court McLaughlin #422, and attended both St. Mary's Church in Ballston Spa, and St. Clement's Church in Saratoga Springs.

Living in Saratoga, Bertha enjoyed going to the thoroughbred races. Bertha also loved playing board games at family picnics and cousin get-togethers, where she was surprisingly competitive. She stayed up to date on current events and expressed insightful viewpoints. She could also always be counted on to be promptly on time, bringing her broccoli casserole or apple pie, which were both exceptional.

Her burial service will be at St. Peter's Cemetery, West Avenue, on Wednesday, March 31st, at 11am.
