Saratoga Springs, NY - Betsy A. (Watrous) Pasinella, 74, beloved wife of nearly 20 years to Al Pasinella, passed away Thursday, December 23, 2021, at Saratoga Hospital in Saratoga Springs, NY. Born and raised in Chester, CT, she was the daughter of the late Arnold and Mary Jane (Fleitz) Watrous. Betsy was a long-time resident of Saratoga Springs, NY and wintered in Sebring, FL. She was a graduate of Valley Regional High School in Deep River, CT and Defiance College in Defiance, OH and earned a master's degree in education from Central Connecticut State University. She worked for Skidmore College as a supervisor in Dining Services and previously was an elementary school teacher in East Hampton, CT and Saratoga Springs, NY.

Betsy enjoyed golf with family and friends as a long-time member of the Saratoga Golf and Polo Club, socializing and playing bridge.  She cherished her grandchildren and enjoyed their frequent phone calls to hear about school, sports, and accomplishments. She spent many fun-filled summers at the Watrous cottage in Westbrook, CT as a child and with her children, her parents and her brother and his family.

In addition to her husband Al, she is survived by her two children, Curtis Smith and his wife, Kim (Kauffman) of Trumbull, CT and Jason Smith and his wife, Sarah (Nosal) of Scituate, MA; her brother Bruce Watrous and his wife, Beverly, of Chester, CT; four grandchildren, Connor and Dylan Smith and Andrew and Hannah Smith; Al's son, Brett Pasinella and his wife Alison and their daughter Imogen; two nephews, Bruce Watrous, Jr. of Menlo Park, CA and Christopher Watrous, of Middleton, MA; and sister's in law, Francis Bliss, Jane Mamone and Betty Reohr, all of Troy, NY.

A private memorial service and celebration of life will be held in the Spring of 2022 in Chester, CT. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to Chester Historical Society, PO Box 204 Chester, CT. 06412.
