Saratoga Springs, NY - Beverley Jane Millis, of Crommelin Drive, passed away unexpectedly Dec. 24, 2009 at her residence. She was 75. Born on June 26, 1934 in Saratoga Springs, she was a daughter of the late George E. and Lina (Clingen) Millis and a graduate of Saratoga Springs High School Class of 1952. Bev attended Albany Business College and had worked at the G.F. Harvey Company on Wells Street. She also was a cashier at the Saratoga Spa Golf Course and was employed for over 30 years at the General Electric Research Lab at Knolls Atomic Power Lab (KAPL) site in Niskayuna. Bev celebrated her retirement party at the Turf Restaurant in Scotia and had enjoyed a tour of Paris with her parents. Together with her late cousin, Virginia Millis Long, they explored Arizona, which led to her purchase of a condo in Peoria, AZ. She also enjoyed visits to colonial Williamsburg, VA in the company of her nieces and nephews. Bev delighted in the fact that her grand niece, Lauren Chambers was born on the same date as her great aunt. Survivors include her brother and sister-in-law, Ronald T. (Mary) Millis, Sr., of Saratoga Springs; two nephews, LTC Ronald T. Millis, Jr. (Tesse) and Matthew Millis; one niece, Tamarra (Craig) Chambers; a grand niece, Lauren Chambers and several cousins. Relatives and friends may call from 11 to 12noon Wednesday (Dec. 30, 2009) at the William J. Burke & Sons/Bussing & Cunniff Funeral Homes, 628 North Broadway (584-5373).
