Saratoga Springs, NY - Billie Sue (Stucker) Lillge, 63, passed away on August 4, 2017 in the care of hospice and the loving volunteers at The Gateway House of Peace after a hard-fought battle with cancer.

Billie was born March 27, 1954 in Herrin, IL to her parents, William and Patricia Stucker.  She spent her childhood in Herrin, IL and Oconomowoc, WI.  After that, she lived in many places across the country including California, Connecticut, and Idaho.  Eventually, Billie settled into Saratoga Springs, NY where she raised her children and then returned to live before she passed.  She enjoyed her work at two colleges, Skidmore and Mitchell, where she met and greatly cared for many students. Billie treated each as if they were her own son or daughter while building relationships that lasted until this day.  She loved track season in Saratoga, great food, nice boots, and a glass of wine.

Billie was predeceased by her father, William Earl Stucker.  She is survived by her mother Patricia Ruth (McDowell) Stucker Wende of Santa Teresa, NM; her sister Sandra (Stucker) Furlong of Oconomowoc, WI; her two children Patrick (Mary) Lillge of Ballston Spa, NY and Jessica (Sabrina) Lillge of Deep River, CT; her two grand-children, William and Ryann Lillge; and her nephews Lucas and Dylan Furlong.  Billie loved her family, her children and her grandchildren with all of her heart.

There will be no public service as the family will conduct a small private memorial in her honor.

In lieu of any flowers or other gifts, the family would ask that you please donate to Gateway House of Peace, 479 Rowland St., Ballston Spa, NY 12020 or Community Hospice of Saratoga, 179 Lawrence St., Saratoga Springs, NY 12866.  Both are amazing groups who cared for Billie and need our support to continue their work.  The family would also like to thank all of the doctors, nurses, and other hospital staff that she met along the way who cared for her.
