Saratoga Springs, NY Brock Anthony Tuczynski passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, May 8, 2011. He was 31 years old. Born on April 26, 1980 he is the son of William and Kathryn Tuczynski. Brock is a graduate of Saratoga Springs High School, Cornell University, with a degree in chemical engineering, and Columbia University with a masters in engineering management. He enjoyed a fulfilling career at Kraft Foods and an ongoing teaching and mentoring relationship with the Chemical Engineering Department at Cornell. Brock was an extremely devoted husband, incredibly loving father, and a generous son, brother and friend. Brock was a musician, outdoorsman, an Eagle Scout and member of the Catholic Church. He loved music, fishing, biking, running, songwriting and playing with his daughter. Of all his many accomplishments he was most proud of his family. Brock is survived by his wife Julia; his beautiful daughter Bess and baby boy; his mother and father Kathy and Buck; sisters Darcy (John Czajka) and Reanna (Ryan Martin); grandparents Marie Tuczynski and Paul Barnard and special relatives Jack Tuczynski and Rosie Mauro. He is also survived by two nieces and many aunts, uncles and cousins. Brock's love and generosity will be greatly missed but mostly we will miss his contagious laugh and his timely humor. Relatives and friends may call from 5 to 8pm Thursday, May 12, 2011 at the William J. Burke & Sons Funeral Home, 628 North Broadway (584-5373). A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10am Friday, May 13, 2011 at St. Joseph's Church, Greenfield Center. In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial donations payable to Cornell University with Department of Chemical Engineering in memory of Brock A. Tuczynski written in the memo line.
