Saratoga Springs, NY - Francis Xavier Alfone, (Brother Frank, C.Ss.R.), of Lake Avenue, passed away Wednesday morning (Dec. 31, 2008) at the St. John Neumann Residence. He was 80. Born on Jan. 26, 1928 in Newark, NJ, he was the son of the late Francis and Marie (Vizone) Alfone and resided at St. John Neumann's since 2001. He professed his vows as a Redemptorist on October 16, 1957. In addition to his parents, Brother Frank was predeceased by five brothers, Alfonse, John, Jerry, Theodore and Arnold and one sister, Josephine Fucci. Survivors include two sisters, Sister Dolores Alfone, OSF of Ringwood, NJ and Lucy Alfone of Totowa, NJ; one brother, Edward Alfone of Alameda, CA and many nieces and nephews, as well as his Redemptorist Confreres. Reception of the Body will be at 4pm Friday (Jan. 2, 2009) at the Chapel of the St. John Neumann Residence, followed by a Christian Wake Service at 7pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11am Saturday in the Chapel. Burial will be at Mt. St. Alphonsus in Esopus, NY. Memorials may be made in his name to the Redemptorist Fathers, 233 Lake Ave., Saratoga Springs, NY 12866. Arrangements are under the direction of the William J.
