Mechanicville, NY - Carmine Anthony Mastropietro, Sr. passed away Friday, May 9, 2014 in his home surrounded by his loving family. Born in Mechanicville on July 16, 1928 into a large family, he was the son of the late Concetta (Simiele) and Nunzio A. Mastropietro. To help support his parents and siblings, Carmine left school early and worked as a locomotive mechanic on the B&M railroad. He later left the railroad for a job as a foreman at Portec, where he worked until he retired. In his retired years, Carmine could be found tinkering in his garage, manicuring his lawn and playing the daily lotto. In addition to his parents, Carmine was predeceased by four brothers; Anthony, George, Donald and Frances. Survivors include his wife of 64 years, Mary Theresa Luca Mastropietro; his son and daughter, Carmine Jr. (Paula) Mastropietro and Annmarie (Christopher) Lescarbeau. He loved his grandchildren Shawn (Cindy) Mastropietro, Jason Mastropietro, Heath (Joy) Mastropietro, Michael (Stephanie) Moll II and Stephanie (Jay) Haney; and he was blessed to have known his great-grandchildren Nathan, Aaron, Cole, Kaiden, Jack and Sophie. He also left behind his sister Shirley Dieckmann and his brother Louis Mastropietro. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at11am Wednesday, May 14, 2014 at All Saints-on-the-Hudson (South Church) 121 North Main St., Mechanicville. Burial will follow in the family plot at St. Paul's Cemetery, Mechanicville. Arrangements are under the direction of the William J.
