Saratoga Springs, NY – Carol Marie Gallagher-Bennett passed away November 6, 2021. She was born February 28, 1959 in Poughkeepsie, NY and was the daughter of the late John and Helena Gallagher. Carol grew up in Wappingers Falls, NY and was employed in the insurance industry for over 44 years, having started her career with George T. Whalen Insurance in Millbrook, NY. She worked for various insurance companies in Poughkeepsie, Albany, and Syracuse, NY.

Carol was a very talented artist, having been encouraged by her great uncle Anthony Battillo, who was a professional artist.

She married Peter Bennett of Saratoga Springs, who predeceased her. Carol is survived by her step-son Matthew Bennett, his wife Reagan Bennett and their children from Concord, NC; her siblings Kathleen Leach (Kevin) of Obrien, FL, Patrick Gallagher of LaGrange, GA, Thomas Gallagher of Kirkwood, NY; nieces Heather Leach of Newark, OH, Danna Leach of Lawton, OK, Alicia Henry of North Carolina, and Katie Rogers of Portland, ME; one nephew Kevin Gallagher (Shannon) of Sarasota, FL; five great nieces and nephews; aunts and uncles: Enas Meyen (Robert) and Stephen Bialousz (Marilyn) of Salt Point, NY; as well as eight cousins.

Relatives and friends may call from 11am to 1 pm on Saturday, November 13 at William J. Burke & Sons/Bussing & Cunniff Funeral Homes, 628 North Broadway, Saratoga Springs (518-584-5373) followed by a funeral home service.

Burial will be private.
