Stillwater, NY – Carol A. Thrane passed away Thursday, May 10, 2018 at Saratoga Hospital with her loving family by her side. She was 76.
Born December 23, 1941 in Troy, NY, she was the daughter of the late James and Mildred Duffney Daley. Carol was a loving wife, mother and the greatest grandmother on earth, she was truly an all American homemaker.
In addition to her parents, Carol was predeceased by two sisters, Joan Crandall and Jean Thompson and one brother, James Daley.
Carol is survived by her husband of 59 years, Thomas A. Thrane, Sr.; one daughter, Kathleen (Keith) Kalwasinski of Mechanicville, two sons, Thomas A. (Jenn) Thrane, Jr. and Christian J. Sr. (Holly) Thrane, all of Stillwater; eight grandchildren, Thomas A. Thrane III, Rene (Michael) Giambona, William (Halley), Amanda and Christian J. Thrane Jr., Joshua, Alexis and Cassidy Kalwasinski; eleven great grandchildren, Nathaniel and Anthony Thrane, Austin LeFebvre, Tyler, Brody, Olivia, Maddie, Kylah and Ava Thrane, Brittany Degen and Lucas Giambona; four siblings, Catherine Farrell and John, Jerry and Mildred Daley and many nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends may call from 9:00am to 11:00am on Tuesday, May 15, 2018 at The Chase-Smith Family Funeral Homes, 319 Park Ave., Mechanicville. Funeral home services will begin at 11:00am. Burial will follow at 12:30pm at the Gerald B.H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery, Duell Rd. Schuylerville.
