Saratoga Springs - Carolyn E. Millis was found at her Woodlawn Commons residence and was transported to Albany Medical Center where she later passed away surrounded by a loved one on May 13, 2022.

Born in Cambridge, New York on June 28, 1940, she was the daughter of Alexander and Bertha (Elcox) Millis.  She was valedictorian at Schuylerville Central School and received a BA in History from the University at Albany. After several years with the NYS Department of Civil Service, she chose to continue her education at Albany Law School. She was awarded a Juris Doctor degree and was admitted to the NYS Bar. She returned to state service as an Attorney and retired from the Department of Taxation and Finance. She was a proud member of MENSA. Carolyn was an avid reader of non-fiction, bridge player, master of trivia, lover of cinema and a longtime supporter of classical programming at SPAC. She was also active in the community and volunteered for many years helping seniors with their tax returns.

She was dearly loved by her niece, Carolyn Winston and great niece, Alexandra Buckley. She will be missed by several nieces and nephews, cousins and her many friends, especially Betsy Gordon. She was predeceased by her parents, brothers Sonny and Mac and Sister Muriel.

Burial will follow at the family plot in Victory Mills Cemetery, Schuylerville, NY.
