Galway, NY - Catherine (Cathie)T. Suitto passed away on Sunday, July 5, 2015, surrounded by her family, after a long illness. Born and raised in Albany, NY, she was the daughter of the late James A. and Katherine Devlin. A graduate of Holy Names Academy in Albany, she attended Mildred Elley Secretarial Business School. Cathie was known for her excellent typing skills and worked for the Saratogian for 13 years, Transitional Services for 9 years and as a transcriptionist at Marketing Insights. She volunteered as secretary for the Galway Seniors and for the Providence town board for several years. Cathie was devoted to her family and many friends, all of whom she loved dearly. She was a member of Galway Seniors and two Red Hat societies and loved to travel. A huge fan and good friend of composer Tim Janis from York Maine, she loved listening to his inspirational instrumental music. Survivors include her devoted husband John "Jackie" D. Suitto, Jr. of Town of Providence, NY; daughters Mary (Euel) Atkinson of Kent, WA, Tracye Kakely of University Place, WA; grandsons Philip (Chasity) Atkinson, Euel H. Atkinson III and Antony Scott Kakely; great granddaughters, Marti Juliwanna and Maddi Grace Atkinson. Also surviving are step sons Robert Suitto and his children, Anthony, Meghan, Jessica and Joseph and Michael Suitto and his daughter Courtney. The family would like to thank the staff of DCI Rubin Dialysis Center for the loving care and compassion they gave Cathie over the past 7 years. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10am Monday, July 13, 2015 at St. Cecelia's Catholic Church in Warrensburg, NY.
