Charles F. Hannon, 73, joined the love of his life by peacefully passing on Thursday morning, August 28, 2008. Born in New York City, he was the son of the late Lawrence and Martha Hannon(Schwartzman). Starting out as a meat cutter, he attended and graduated from Fulton Montgomery Community College in 1978, while working his way up to a store manager and later as an auditor for loss prevention for Price Chopper Markets. He married the love of his life in 1956 and helped raise four children. He loved his family dearly and was extremely devoted to his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He also loved to bowl and volunteer his time at the Broadalbin Fire Department. He is predeceased by his wife of over 52 years, the former Barbara Feig. He is survived by his four children: Stephanie Hannon of Wells, New York, Ellen Coker of Lutz, Florida, Maureen Colon(Larry) of Tampa, Florida, Patrick Hannon of Raiford, Florida, his five grandchildren: Danielle Barton(Jason), of Wells, New York, Anissa Hannon of Worcester, Massachusettes, Tressa Thompson, David Thompson III, Nicholas "Charlie" Thompson, all of Tampa, Florida, two cherished great-grandchildren Marissa and Charles Barton, two brothers: Johnnie of New York City, Richard of Amsterdam, and many cousins, nieces and nephews. There will be no calling hours. Arrangements were conducted under the direction of William J. Burke & Sons/Bussing & Cunniff Funeral Homes of 628 North Broadway, Saratoga Springs, NY.
