Saratoga Springs, NY - Charles Rose, Jr., our dad, passed away April 8, 2009 at his home on land he lived on for over 60 years, surrounded by his loved ones. Born on March 27, 1920,Charles was a lifetime native, and even after losing his house to a fire in 2001, he faced that like he faced everything in his life, with strength and courage. After many years of loyal service he retired from GE and Saratoga Raceway. Charles loved all sports, especially baseball and the Yankees, John Deere farm equipment, his farm animals and the car races in Malta. He was a jack of all trades who would try to fix anything and help anyone in need. Charles is predeceased by his parents, Marion Atwell and Charles Rose Sr., his wife Jane, and brother Rodger. Survivors include his children, Gerald(Kathe), Laurel(Don), Bruce(Frances), Charles(ex-wife Toni), Juanita(the late Maurice), also son Butch, daughter Bambi and granddaughter Heather who lived with him and were his caregivers. He is also survived by many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, sister in law, and many friends. Our dad will be remembered forever in our hearts for his unconditional love, kindness, and support. We all loved him so much and his memory will live on in all of us. We are so proud to have had such a selfless man as our Dad and Grandfather. We miss him terribly, but we know he is flying with the angels now. Arrangements are under the direction of the William J.
