IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Charles Pellock,
Jr.
October 19, 1943 – January 14, 2025
Wilton, NY - Charles Pellock Jr., a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend, passed away peacefully on January 14, 2025, in Saratoga Springs, NY. Born on October 19, 1943, in Paterson, NJ, Charles lived a life rich with love and dedication to his family and community.
He is survived by his devoted wife of many years, Sandra Pellock; their son Charles Pellock III (Kim); daughter Joyce Ure (Joe); and cherished grandchildren Daniel and Joshua Ure as well as Nicholas and Samantha Pellock. Each member of his family held a special place in his heart; he took immense pride in watching them grow and thrive.
Charles dedicated much of his professional life to the Town of Wilton Highway Department as a machine operator. His work ethic was unmatched-he approached every task with diligence and care that reflected not only his commitment to service but also the values he instilled in those around him.
Beyond his career responsibilities lay another passion: serving others through volunteer firefighting. He proudly served as a fireman both in Lincoln Park, NJ and later in Wilton, NY. The camaraderie formed during those years shaped lifelong friendships while allowing him to contribute meaningfully to the safety of others-a testament to the selflessness that defined him.
In addition to these commitments outside the home, Charles found joy within it at their farm where he nurtured an array of animals including cows, pigs, chickens, ducks-and even a goose or two! This sanctuary became more than just land; it was an expression of who he was-a man deeply connected with nature who relished simple pleasures like tending livestock or enjoying quiet moments outdoors surrounded by wildlife.
A lover of life's little surprises too-he had an affinity for lottery scratch-off tickets which brought him laughter over shared stories about wins big or small among friends and family alike.
Though we mourn this profound loss today-the warmth that radiated from Charles will forever remain etched into our hearts.
A Celebration of Life may be planned at a later date where all whose lives were touched by this remarkable man can gather together honoring memories filled with laughter, love, friendship, kindness, generosity, resilience, strength, compassion-all qualities embodied so beautifully by Charles Pellock Jr.
As we say goodbye for now let us remember how fortunate we are having known such an extraordinary soul whose legacy will continue living on through each person lucky enough call him family or friend.
