Saratoga Springs, NY - Cheryl M. Lesniak of Thoroughbred Dr. passed away Tuesday, August 11, 2009 at her home surrounded by her family. She was 63. Born on May 12, 1946 in Utica, NY, she was the daughter of the late Douglas and Hilda Howell Miller. Cheryl attended Ilion Central High School, Ilion, NY, graduating in 1964. She then went on to receive a degree in Political Science from Briarcliff College in Briarcliff Manor, NY. For several years Cheryl worked for Saratoga Associates in Saratoga Springs. She also volunteered her time at the Hawley Foundation, Flower and Fruit Mission and Community Hospice of Saratoga. Survivors include her two daughters, Dana (Adam) Thibodeau of Westbrook, ME and Keri (Kurt) Solon of Houston, TX; her son Kyle Lesniak and his fianc Megan McDonald of Denver, CO; two sisters, Judith (Dr. Duane) Thurman of Berwyn, PA and Beverly (Dr. Hiram) Garber of Portland, ME and several nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends may call from 9 to 10am Friday, Aug. 14, 2009 in the Chapel of Christ Episcopal Church, Corner Rt. 50 and 67, Ballston Spa. A service will be celebrated at 10am in the church by the Rev. Derik Roy, pastor. Donations may be made to Community Hospice of Saratoga, 179 Lawrence St., Saratoga Springs, NY 12866.
