Corinth, NY - Christopher J. McCabe, 65, died Tuesday, October 2, 2018 after a short illness.

Born in Miami, FL, Chris was the son of the late Catherine Harkins McCabe and Frederick J. McCabe. Chris resided at the Schuylerville IRA for most of his adult life and transferred to the Corinth IRA this past spring.

Although Chris's physical and intellectual struggles stemmed from an accident sustained as an infant, he led a full life and was cared for and by many people. He enjoyed the outdoors, the many outings he was taken on by the staff at his IRA, and his day school, Saratoga Bridges.

Chris was the beloved brother of Karen McCabe, Meg McCabe, Michael McCabe and Daniel McCabe. He is also survived by his two nieces, Kelly McCabe and Shawna McCabe as well as his nephew, Chanon McCabe. Chris was predeceased by his brother Peter McCabe.

Chris's family would like to thank the staff of the Corinth IRA, the nurses in the Saratoga Hospital ICU, the Palliative Care Unit at Saratoga Hospital, and the Saratoga Community Hospice, who all helped him through the last phase of his life.

Services for Chris will be held Tuesday, October 30, 2018 at 10:00am at the William J. Burke and Sons/Bussing & Cunniff Funeral Homes, 628 North Broadway, Saratoga Springs (518-584-5373). Burial will be in Jonesville Cemetery.
