Obituary

Saratoga Springs, NY - Christopher M. Snyder of Tiffany Place, passed away Friday, Jan. 4, 2013 at Saratoga Hospital, after a brief illness. He was 57. Born on May 31, 1955 in Syracuse, NY, he was the son of Frederick H. and Virginia A. Snyder and his family moved to Saratoga Springs in 1960, where Chris remained a lifelong resident. Chris graduated from Saratoga Springs High School in 1974 and attended Adirondack Community College. He was employed by the Office of Parks and Recreation for New York State for 31 years, located at the Saratoga Regional office in the Spa State Park. He was an active member of the Greater Saratoga Springs Jaycees and held numerous positions over the years. He enjoyed vacationing in Florida every year and was an avid NY Yankees fan. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by a brother, Gerald Snyder. Survivors include his sister, Jeanne Snyder of Saratoga Springs and several cousins. His family would like to thank the doctors, nurses and staff at Saratoga Hospital for the compassionate care extended to Christopher and his family. Also, a special thanks to Kim Lambert, National Vice President of the Jaycees for her time and friendship. Many thanks to David and Melinda Nolan of Jacksonville, FL for being such good friends to Christopher as he always enjoyed the time spent with them and their family. Relatives and friends may call from 5 to 7pm Wednesday (Jan. 9, 2013) at Our Lady's Chapel in the Parish Center of St. Clement's Church. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10am Thursday at St. Clement's Church, 231 Lake Avenue and private spring interment will be in St. Peter's Cemetery. Memorials may be made in his memory to Saratoga Hospital Foundation, 211 Church Street, Saratoga Springs, NY 12866. Arrangements are under the direction of the William J.
