IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Clara "Helen"
Sciartelli
October 14, 1938 – January 19, 2022
Ballston Spa, NY - On January 19th, a beautifully cold winter night Clara "Helen" Sciartelli, ended her long journey at home peacefully surrounded by the love of her family.
Born on October 14, 1938 in PA, she grew up in Albany NY. Helen went on to become a passionate and inspirational Nurse, proudly completed her bachelor's degree at the age of 50, and continued on as an oncology coordinator. We couldn't have been prouder. She was strong, kind, loving and spent her life as a dedicated advocate to her cancer patients as they embarked on their own journeys.
Helen is survived by her best friend and love of her life Lewis Bruce, they had an unspoken bond radiating warmth, trust, and comfort. She is also survived by her two daughters Gina Wayand and husband Chuck Wayand and Lori Guerra and partner Don Porter. Helen was a caring mom, our best friend and hero. The joys of her life included opera, theater, art, but most of all her grandchildren who called her their Umma: Zachary, Alexandra, Mitchel and Sydney. They had the most supportive and caring grandmother anyone could ever hope for.
