Clement (Cus) T. Neilen, 87 of Saratoga Springs passed away on Tuesday, August 18, 2009 at Albany Stratton VA Medical Center. Born February 28, 1922 in Saratoga Springs, Clement was the son of the late Thomas J. and Marion Neilen. He was a WW II veteran who served as a combat engineer and was active in the campaigns of Sicily and Italy. He worked for over 25 years at the Van Raalte Mill and worked at Pats Newsroom on Broadway. Clement was a communicant of St. Clements Church. Survivors are his former wife, Dorothy (Fredette) Neilen, his children and their spouses, Thomas (Gwenn) Neilen, Terrence Neilen, Nancy (Harold) Woodworth, Denise Neilen, Jeffrey (Cindy) Neilen, Pamela Neilen and Jonathan Neilen (Tracey), all in the Saratoga Springs area, 10 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he is predeceased by his son Clement J. (Chip) Neilen and his grandson Matthew Neilen. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 9:30am Friday, August 21, 2009 at St. Clements Church, 231 Lake Avenue, Saratoga Springs with Rev. Francis E. Sullivan, C.Ss.R., officiating. Burial will be in St. Peters Cemetery, West Avenue. Memorial contributions may be made to Albany Stratton VA Center, 9B Heros Way, 113 Holland Avenue, Albany, NY 12205 in care of Elaine Hathaway.
