SARATOGA SPRINGS, NY- Colin G. Brown passed away on September 10, 2024 at the age of 74. He is the son of the late, Alfred R. and Carolyn Groff Brown. He was born July 21, 1950 in Saratoga Hospital and raised in Saratoga Springs. He is a graduate of the Saratoga Springs High School class of 1968 and earned his Associate Degree at Adirondack Community College class of 1970.
Colin loved the Lord and enjoyed studying sermons and his Bible, which provided him a pathway to the love and caregiving he gave to his large community of neighbors and friends. He was often seen riding his bicycle downtown for coffee or walking anywhere, usually sending quirky photos to his family of his short travels around the area. He loved watching the horses and the people of his hometown.
Colin was Senior Custodian at the Oliver W. Winch Middle School until he retired in 1998. He served in the Army Reserves for 6 years earning many titles along his journey with them. He was an active member of the Wilton Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife Carol, his son Adam and his wife Kelly, one grandson, Andrew Hadeka, and a brother Jeffery E. Brown along with numerous cousins. He is predeceased by both parents and a half-sister Pamela J. Brown.
Calling hours will be held from 10:00 am - 12:00 pm on Saturday September 14, 2024 with a service immediately following by Pastor Steve Harness of Wilton Baptist Church at the William J. Burke & Sons/Bussing & Cunniff Funeral Home, 628 N. Broadway, Saratoga Springs, NY 12866. Graveside services will be held for the immediate family privately at the North Milton Cemetery.
