Ballston Spa, NY- Corey E. Pickett, 18, of Ballston Spa, NY, passed away suddenly on July 12, 2024.

Born in Schenectady, NY, on September 20, 2005, Corey was the beloved son of Edward and Christina Pickett. He was a bright light to all who met him, always willing to help others and sharing the joy he felt in doing so. Corey had a deep love for dance, music and video games.

Corey was a dedicated member of his church, where he served for many years, assisting with teaching in the children's program. His kindness and enthusiasm left a lasting impact on everyone who knew him.

A 2023 graduate of Ballston Spa High School, Corey was enrolled in the Pathways in Technology Early College High School (P-TECH) program, where he earned both his high school diploma and a two-year postsecondary degree in Technology.

In addition to his loving parents, Corey is survived by his siblings Olivia, Hannah, Alyssa, and Ryan; his paternal grandparents Edward A. Pickett Sr. and Linda Pickett; his maternal grandparents Carl W. Morris and Sally Morris; and his great-grandfather Nelson Bouchard. He is also survived by several aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Calling hours will be held on Friday, July 26, 2024, from 5-6 PM at Pine Grove Community Church, 59 Pine Rd, Saratoga Springs. A Celebration of Life Service will follow immediately at 6 PM.  Arrangements are under the direction of the William J. Burke & Sons/ Bussing & Cunniff Funeral Homes, 628 N. Broadway, Saratoga Springs, NY 12866.
