Saratoga Springs, NY - Corinne A. Schermerhorn passed away Friday, March 3, 2017. She was 84.

Born in Jersey City, NJ in 1932, Corinne grew up in Essex County, NJ. She was the daughter of the late Charles D. and Christine Corbett Morse and graduated from Oxford Academy High School in Oxford, NY. In 1953 she graduated from Nathan Littauer Hospital School of Nursing as a registered nurse. After nursing school Corinne attended St. John's University and began her nursing career at New York Hospital. As a pediatric specialist at The John Hopkins Hospital and Buffalo Children's Hospital, she was a caring nurse for many children during her career. She also worked at Ellis Hospital and Maplewood Manor Nursing Home.

Corinne was a resident of Clifton Park, NY for over thirty five years. She was a volunteer for the board of elections in Clifton Park and was a gifted artist, loved making crafts and was an avid reader.  Along with being a loving mother to her own four children, Corinne was a dedicated sister, daughter, aunt and cousin to her very large and extended family.

In addition to her parents, Corinne was predeceased by her husband William R. Schermerhorn and their son Edward A. Schermerhorn.

Survivors include her three sons, Richard W. Schermerhorn and his wife Lindy of San Diego, CA, Robert M. Schermerhorn and his wife Lisa of Saratoga Springs, NY and Timothy P. Schermerhorn and his wife Sharon of Doylestown, PA. She was the proud grandmother of three grandchildren, Mike, Kayla and Caroline Schermerhorn.

Relatives and friends may call from 4 to 6pm Friday, March 10, 2017 at the William J. Burke & Sons/Bussing & Cunniff Funeral Homes, 628 North Broadway, Saratoga Springs (584-5373). Funeral services will be conducted at 10am Saturday, March 11, 2017 at the funeral home and burial will be at St. Peter's Cemetery, West Ave.
