Obituary

Saratoga Springs, NY - Cynthia ("Cindi") Witting of Lawrence Street passed away Friday, June 10, 2011 after a 9 year battle with stroke related illness. She was 64. Born on November 2, 1946 in San Francisco, CA, she was the daughter of George Kallios and the late Emma Lee Clayton. She graduated from Toelle High school in Toelle, Utah where she later met her future husband, Howard M. Witting. The couple were married on May 28, 1968 and they relocated to Hillside, NJ. Howard passed away in Nov., 2003, they would have been married 43 years. Cindi was a marketing manager for Rheometrics, Inc. located in Union, NJ for many years. She was a member of the National Genealogical Society. Her family memoir, "Gone, but not forgotten-a Clayton Genealogy" was published in 1996. She was a miniature artist, avid gardener and sewer and a volunteer for the Hillside Historical Society. Her heart and home welcomed many cats and dogs through the years. Cindi was a loving wife, mother and friend. She is survived by her father, George Kallios and step-mom, Ann Kallios; her mother-in-law Helen Witting; daughters, Carri Ann (Witting) Brennan and husband Shaun and Beth (Witting) Grundy and husband Tom; six grandchildren, Jessica, Shaun, Kassandra, James, Shane and Dean; her brother, Joe Kallios and his family, and many other family and friends. Burial will be at 2pm Friday, June 17, 2011 at the Gerald BH Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery, Duell Rd., Schuylerville, where Cindi will join her husband Howard, a veteran of the US Army. Our heartfelt thanks to the staff at Wesley Health Care Center and to Cheryl Jarvis for their outstanding care and loving kindness. Arrangements are under the direction of the William J.
