Mechanicville, NY – Daniel Marinello passed away Saturday, January 30, 2021 at Schuyler Ridge. He was 89.

Born March 11, 1931 in his family home on the Brickyard Road in the town of Stillwater, he was the son of the late Aniello and Lucy Capeci Marinello. Daniel left high school to enlist in the United States Army, serving from 1948 to 1951, being honorably discharged as a sergeant. After serving, Daniel went on to have many career ventures including owning several businesses of his own which included Marinello Brothers Roofing & Siding, Bub's Safeco and Victoria Motors all in Mechanicville, Mr. D's Beauty Shop in Ballston Spa, Danny's Motel in Clifton Park and Mr. D's Ice Cream in Lansingburgh. Daniel was initiated into the Mechanicville B.P.O. Elks Lodge #1403 and was a member of the Sons of Italy, the Italian Fraternal Society, the Church on Lower Newtown Road and served on the Mechanicville Youth Center Committee.

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his wife of 35 years Victoria Moll Marinello, who passed away January 12, 1989 and five siblings, Andy, Paul, George, Mary and Kate. Daniel leaves behind two sons, Daniel J. of California and Lawrence D. Marinello of Waterford and two sisters Josephine Marinello of Mechanicville and Esther Laurenzo and her husband Abe of Vancouver, Washington.

A private burial with military honors took place on Friday, February 5, 2021 at the Gerald B.H. Solomon National Cemetery, 200 Duell Road, Schuylerville, NY.
